Every last detail is perfect, from the retro sweet style and makeup to the gorgeous peach and pink flowers and the table settings that are gilded to the elegant wedding attire; it’s stunning!
Mariam and Abdul got married with an event and reception on separate days. Their reception at a marquee, as well as beautiful golden hour portraits, were captured beautifully with the help of Ivy & Ellis Photography with its romantic natural style of light.
It was an enchanting daytime wedding in Spring; Mariam & Abdul’s day was full of flowers and tables decorated with lanterns and white and green linens with trendy vintage table numbers. However, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s the style that truly sets this wedding apart.
From Mariam’s amazing throwback bridal fashion to Abdul’s stylish suit and expert Dabb and their gorgeous radiant bridal reception, This wedding is slaying it on the fashion front.

From the Photographer
The wedding was special in many ways, and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph.
My first Muslim wedding, and as I found out, it was only one reception (the ceremony itself took place on a different day).
Springtime is such an ideal moment to have a wedding. This wedding incorporated numerous aspects that make springtime a wonderful time.
I integrated these elements into the pictures, including the delicate pink and lilac flowers to the stunning lake; you can feel the essence of Spring throughout this wedding.
Mariam was stunning with her Amy Kuschel dress bought at the boutique shop for dresses Che Bella Boutique in Minneapolis.
I found the birdcage lace veil (purchased through Etsy from Designer Leslie Li), the caplet for my wedding, and the shawl to be stylish.
My favorite part of this wedding was the time to get away from the crowds during the sunset (the hour prior to sunset).
Light is soft, warm, and romantic in this season. Because I am a natural light and film photographer, I enjoy the gorgeous hues and soft pastel shades that you’ll see in photos taken during this moment.
In these pictures, the excitement of just getting married can take over. Their natural chemistry and grace and the love Mariam and Abdul share for one another were evident in these photos taken at the dock, and it was a wonderful ending to the day.
