Glamorous & Romantic Lake Como Wedding

Beautiful, romantic, and captivating… this is the way the bride and groom of today, Masha & Chris, describe their wedding day. Based on the stunning photographs they took and their breathtaking setting, I’d say that they’re just right.

After a romantic proposal on Lake Como, Chris and Masha were determined to go back to this beautiful location for their wedding, taking 72 of their close relatives and friends to join them for the journey.

A stunning outdoor ceremony was held at Villa Cipressi, as well as an informal evening meal in La Corte Del Lago. The couple let the background do the talking and a simple table setting with beautiful flowers and some lovely personal details.

Fashioned in a chic outfit worthy of their status as celebrities, Masha was stunning in the strapless Inbal Dror dress, and Chris looked stylish wearing the black tie suit.

Film and photography from the stunning Studio 1208 (check out the highlights film in case you’ve not already) filming the incredible background, the little things, and this gorgeous couple as well as their guests. I’m sure you’ll take inspiration from this unique wedding in Italy…

Our Love Story

Our paths could be a few times over, Maybe the year that we were at the same school or a couple of blurry nights out with our friends from the same circle.

The timing wasn’t exactly in our favor until my friend’s mischievously scheduled date as we both celebrated our birthdays. It occurred to be two days apart during an unseasonal February weekend in Philly.

The attraction and the spark was evident right away. The group danced and exchanged funny banter and laughed throughout the night.

We chatted and flirted throughout the next few months, but distance kept us from each other. I was in NYC, and Chris was living in Philly. This was until we met at the official beginning of summer at a renowned beach bar on the Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore.

It could have been a delicious Summer day, Chris’ deep blue V-neck, or the flowing ginger-ales of vodka. But I was certain that I would be spending my entire life with Chris.

Our Wedding

We spent a whole time on Lake Como after we got engaged, and we immediately knew we wanted to plan to return to the beautiful lake to celebrate our wedding day. We were apprehensive about it being not easy to convince our families to be involved. However, they were pleasantly enthused by the idea of having a location wedding in Italy.

We wanted to use the best of our experiences from the past to recreate these for loved ones and families. A lot of the details of our wedding weekend, such as the welcome reception and rehearsal dinner, as well as the reception and ceremony venues, were based on our top sights, flavors, and sounds from Bellagio as well as Varenna.

We want the experience to feel effortless yet also extremely special and thoughtful to our guests.

The Ceremony

The venue for our ceremony, Villa Cipressi, is situated in the quiet village of Varenna and offers stunning panoramic views from the cliffs that surround the lake. It is also adorned with beautiful ivy and natural vegetation.

The aperitif was served for a few minutes following the ceremony for our guests. This allowed us to take photographs. The guests were able to use the stunning backdrop to take amazing pictures from their very own.

One of our most memorable moments from the ceremony was the rendition of Ave Maria performed by Chris, his aunt, who is an opera singer. There was no blemish at the event. A different highlight was an image of the guests releasing roses.
