Early Autumnal Wedding Inspiration

Autumn is one of the most popular seasons for weddings.

Your palette looks stunning, your lighting is perfect, and there are many options for your food and decor.

This wedding shoot was originally intended as a summer celebration, but we think that it would work just as well as an autumn wedding.

This shoot, beautifully photographed by Cathy Durig and styled with the help of We Tie the Knots, is elegant and romantic, featuring a champagne gown and luxe flowers, as well as classic stationery.

The striped tablescape with red wine cocktail (a nod towards the winery setting of Raffaldini Wineries) and sweet treats inject a little personality into an otherwise refined affair.

From the Photographer

I used the dark, rich colors of summer to create this inspirational photo shoot. I chose blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries, as well as concord grapes.

You rarely see such a dramatic and bold color palette in summer, but by using peach shades for the tablescape and floral arrangements, I was able to balance everything.

We chose to shoot in a vineyard to complement the dramatic summer experience. I was able to incorporate the bold colors of the winery into our signature summer cocktail, Berry Mint Sangria.

The blackberry and raspberry-infused cubes that were used to garnish the signature cocktails were one of my favorite parts of the shoot. It’s possible to be dramatic and cool during the summer!

The rain was intermittent throughout the day. You can see in some of the photos the clouds rolling over the mountain, which added a whole new style to the shoot. I was delighted!

We were able to photograph the stationery suite and other details of the wine-tasting room when it rained. We chose the same rich burgundy and gold for the bouquet, using the same hand-dyed silk ribbon to tie everything together.

The sun came out for only 10 minutes before sunset when we finished the shoot at the vineyard.

The rows of vines added a touch of elegance and drama to the day.
