Don’t get us wrong. We love blush bridesmaids, mixed florals, extravagant wedding cakes and bunting, tassels, garlands, pinatas, and balloons.
It’s nice to see a wedding with a fresh feel despite all the ribbons and frills.
Quentin and Jessica’s Austin Wedding is exactly that. The wedding is light, modern and chic.
We think you will love the photos of their wedding day captured by Kristi Wright Photography as much as we do.
Austin weddings are as eclectic as the city itself. You never know what to expect.
Jessica & Quentin’s minimal, modern affair features a Southern BBQ, a music festival, or a touch of rustic meets city vibes.
Jessica’s understated Jill Stuart dress and simple peony arrangements, as well as her bridesmaids dressed in white (a truly unique touch!), set the tone for a relaxed yet refined wedding day. Jessica’s casual yet elegant wedding was arranged by her understated Jill Stuart gown, simple peony bouquets, and bridesmaids in white.
The modern feel was maintained with luxe white stationery, unfussy greenery decor, and a steel barn backdrop that added a touch of rustic romance.
Our Love Story
We were married in Hill Country, about 30 minutes away from Austin. We met at the University of Texas at Austin and got engaged at Travaasa.
The Bride & Groom
Family and friends attended our wedding in Austin from across the United States. We wanted to spend as much time as possible with them, so we centered everything around that.
The inspiration for our design was clean, simple, and classic. We used a palette of whites with creams and greenery.
We wanted to make our wedding ceremony personal, so we chose the vows and had the bride’s and groom’s mothers read poems.
We wanted to capture candid, real moments for the photography and thought Kristi did an excellent job of doing so.
We spent our honeymoon in Paris and the South of France.
The Photographer
Kristi Wright Photography shares a few more images from Quentin and Jessica’s wedding day.
After a few rain showers, improvised a little during the ceremony. I was so happy we waited until the rain passed before doing an outdoor ceremony.
The ceremony was held without seating, and it went well.
Instead of cake-feeding, they shared oysters instead!
