As someone who has tried to recreate Tuscan-inspired tables in Ireland, I had already fallen in love with this beautiful wedding that was inspired by an Italy wedding taking place in Colorado prior to having looked at the wedding. It’s gorgeous.
Catherine & Clark tied the wedding of their dreams with a garden ceremony on the grounds of Villa Parker outside Denver. Their wedding was covered with flowers and foliage, with luxurious colors and an elegant setting. It was packed with fun elements, from their candy bar and lawn games to their casual tapas-style meal of the best dishes they love.
Photographed by Sara Lynn in her unique, candid, and elegant style. This gorgeous wedding is full of inspiration from the flowers and dresses for the bridesmaids, adorable pets, and the beautiful ceremony setup (oh, and you’ll adore Catherine’s dress, as it was the first dress that she tried! ).
What I like most about this book is that it teaches couples how to design an event that’s stylish and aligns with their ideal perfect day without sacrificing an element of fun or individuality – that’s the ideal harmony.
Our Love Story
We met during a summer job. We started dating shortly after college graduation.
Clark flew me, my entire family, his family, and a few of our family members to Milwaukee to attend what I thought was my college graduation.
After the ceremony, we walked to an area park to snap photos. As we posed together, he sank on his knees. It was perfect as we were in the company of everyone we loved, and everything was captured on film.
Our Wedding
Our wedding was truly a dream come true. Went on a trip to Italy together, and we dreamed of bringing the love that we experienced there on our backs for our big day.
Parker Villa was the ideal romantic Italian villa for our wedding. It was also the first choice we made during any phase of wedding planning. From there, we created our “wedding team” following suggestions from vendors. Sara, Our photographer, was the first option we considered, and she was a great help in choosing the other vendors. We loved everyone!
In terms of the look and feel of our ceremony, I thought, in a nutshell, Pinterest-inspired. I adore the mix of fall and early summer colors, and I felt that gold, blush, and burgundy evoked the romantic atmosphere I was seeking.
Every element was a part of this theme of simplicity and Italian Romance: the delicate lace of my gown, the numerous candles, the long flowing dresses and tailored suits, and, of course, the floral arrangements. I knew I wanted the floral arrangements and features, such as the two-tier fountain, to be the main attraction of the show. And they were!
That was the concept that our team carried to life. But what is it that makes us unique? Lawn games, tapas-style food, ever-changing music, and, best of all, the incredible hip-hop that my two ladies of honor.
An emphasis on having fun characterizes our relationship with one another and with our families and friends. There was plenty of entertainment that night!
