Rustic Outdoor Wedding in California

Today, let’s start the week with a little bit of sunshine.

Beautiful rustic California wedding with blush tones and lots of flowers.

Casey and Andrea from Figlewicz Photography captured it all.

A wedding that begins with a teary First Look will always be romantic. Dan & Melissa’s Walnutgrove was no exception.

The perfect details for a classic, elegant, and stylish celebration were sweet signage, decor from Etsy, and thoughtful music selections.

Kim Paolone of K Rae Events helped them make the idyllic outdoor setting more special with long tables, candles on logs, a beautiful naked cake, and large mason jars full of flowers.

To say, there is a lot of beautiful stuff going on.

Our Love Story

We met in Santa Monica through mutual friends. After a year and a half of constant running into one another at various gatherings, Dan decided to ask me on a date.

Dan proposed about 15 restaurants for our first date. All of them were too fancy, so we rejected them. We decided to go for a casual, low-key dinner place that had board games and potato tater.

After a few months, Dan asked me to become his girlfriend after a weekend in Santa Barbara.

Dan and I bought a house in Orange County after dating for a few years. Although it was a big decision, I knew that this was where Dan and I would settle down. After a long weekend spent moving into our new home, our family and friends were ready to go home. Dan and I had the house to ourselves.

Dan had a plan to spend no night in our home without getting engaged. Dan, who was looking nervous, got down on one knee, pulled out a ring from his pocket, and proposed that night.

After screaming and crying tears of joy, I finally remembered to say Yes!

The Attire

I wore a lace dress with thin spaghetti straps. A beaded belt completed the look.

Dan wore navy with a white t-shirt and navy tie. Tan shoes and a belt completed the look. His late grandfather’s watch was carried as a sign of his presence at our ceremony.

All of my bridesmaids wore dresses in different styles by the same designer. The dresses were full-length and blushed in color.

We liked that the groomsmen wore similar attire to Dan, except for not wearing a jacket.

The Flowers

Bouquets and centerpieces were made up of hydrangeas. Roses, dusty miller, and lisianthus.

The florist was able to create our vision by incorporating neutral colors, different textures, and large mason jars.
