Vibrant Faux Florals & Creative Desserts At An English Barn Venue

As we were planning our wedding, dessert was my primary consideration. They had to be fun, creative and diverse, as well as local, and most importantly, the food had to be lots! It’s nice to know I’m not the only one extravagant in this wedding scene because we’ve discovered a treasure trove of delicious and colorful desserts from this rustic barn wedding theme.

The gifted florist Deluxe Blooms and Photographer Natasha Cadman created the floral arrangements at Blossom Barn. The dreamy countryside scene is so vibrant that we can feel the upcoming summer sun shining across the window. The rich shades of yellow, purple, pink, and orange sprinkle across bright and cheerful flowers, ribbons, and even sweets crafted by Where the Ribbon Ends.

That’s precisely what we’re here for, right? The variety of sweets in this haystack dessert bar? Technicolor donuts could be our first bite as we (in my mind) move past the line of desserts to get sweets. Then, we’d fill our plates with pieces of rainbow-colored cakes as well as bright and cheerful macarons and the adorable “Mrs.” & “Mr.” popsicles that were very creative and delicious.

We were incredibly excited to work in conjunction with Afloral (beautiful faux flowers) for this lively and vibrant shoot. The photographs were taken in Blossom Barn, a historic English farmhouse that has been meticulously restored, with a brick feature wall to become Yorkshire’s most luxurious wedding location.

Always trying to stay in the trend, we jumped at the opportunity to hang a substantial faux flower arrangement on the beautiful wooden beams that line the barn. The look was completed with soaring, huge, dip-dyed drapes that add the perfect pop of color.

The entire group of suppliers collaborated with a palette of pastels and leaves with a lot of bright fuchsias and mustard-hues that created a fantastic explosion of colors. So the cakes, florals, and desserts (including the most delicious donuts in the world) donuts) and stationery was covered in these gorgeous hues.

With never-before-seen magnum-style cake lollies, long sleeves that drape over a lace boho dress and wacky table scrolls that reach from to the ground, we knew we were on the right track with this new and exciting look for weddings in 2019.
