Are you the type of bride who doesn’t have much about dress fittings and is eager to share the details of the menu’s secrets? So, fellow foodie brides, this Spanish wedding idea is ideal for you!
In the historic city of San Antonio, Texas, is this feast-like celebration of Spanish taste. It was planned with the help of Bluebonnet Events and captured with Xiaoqi Li. The two model a delicious selection of treated brides of seafood paella, served with the ever-party-friendly sangria. We believe a meal like this, prepared by the San Antonio restaurant Toro and Toro chef, could make it into the “Wedding Dinner Hall Of Fame’.
Spanish tiles helped keep the dining experience at bay, with bright designs splashing across many wedding elements like the cake decorated with paint, the colorful stationery, and even the brilliant floral arrangements! To let the colors shine and keep food on the table, The Texas team dressed our classy brides in white – a stylish style that we think could steal the show.

The vibrant and sophisticated patterns in Spanish tiles influenced us. A blend of custom-designed designs and Spanish traditions can be seen in our style.
The bold florals were a part of the bright and vibrant style for the photo shoot. Rhonda designed the cake from Cakes Couture, who created a unique abstract design inspired by Spanish tiles. The cake was styled in two ways during the shoot: florals on the first tablescape and fruit on the second tablescape to connect with our berry and citrus sangria.
The white dress of our brides allowed the color of the food, venue, and other specifics to shine more.
We are happy with our custom-designed elements! For example, the tile design was designed by Kelly of The Traveled Lane. The tile design was also featured within our suite of invitations. The tie clip was adorned with an outline depicting Spain on the reverse.
The Food
Drinks and food are integral to every culture, and Spain is no different. Our beverage of choice was a berry-citrus sangria. Our chef, Juan Carlos, the Executive Chef at Toro, cooked two authentic paellas for our tables.
This Toro Paella is a classic recipe that was voted the top at San Antonio three years in three years! It comprises jumbo shrimp, mussels, chicken, pork belly, calamari & Spanish Chorizo. It is known as the Paella Marinera, a Valencian fishermen’s meal following an extended voyage at sea containing baby octopus and Jumbo shrimp, calamari, and mussels.
To create a sophisticated boho-inspired look, We styled our tablescape using white plates, an elegant white gauze table runner, and a long White taper candle.
