Gilded Arabic & Spanish Wedding Inspiration

When we think of Andalusia, we imagine beautiful golden shades, Arabic design in old-world Spanish palaces, grand plazas, and scorching summer days. Professional photographers Anna and Mateo have taken on their love for the Moorish beautiful Southern Spain in this stunning Spanish wedding photo shoot.

Hotel Parador de Granada could not be more iconic Andalusia. With its extravagant Moorish style, warm hues, and a space to stroll through the halls in your wedding gown, the elegant hotel is ideal for the vintage-loving bride and groom. In keeping with the gold hues of the house, the Atrezo Floristas brought more yellows and oranges to the room and created a seamless, romantic, gold-plated wedding setting.

The bride’s dress is vintage-inspired as well as with modern-day details. It is (much like the cultural mix of Andalusia) an ideal blend of vintage style for the modern bride due to the airy, modest long sleeves and a romantic, elaborate open back.

From Anna + Mateo

We set out to design an elegant and relaxed courtyard event with organic garden flowers along with ethereal fabric as well as a flowing dress. We were influenced by the stunning Spanish tiles, which are featured in famous buildings, such as La Alhambra, and chose an elegant palette of colors like blush, oranges, yellows, gold, greens, and ivory.

Atrezo Floristas created this color scheme perfectly together using their overgrown bouquet stuffed with greenery, anemone, and roses. The style carried on to the table setting and flowing drip cakes from Velvet Granada.

The hotel, Hotel Parador de Granada, is situated right at the base of the historic Alhambra and was once a convent that was built on the top of the Nazarene Monastery. It has the most stunning panoramas of the Alhambra as well as amazing detail in the design, fountains, gardens, and the burial place that was the home of Spanish princess Isabel. You can’t get any more Andalusian than this! It was the perfect setting to shoot in.

The bride looked gorgeous with an antique-inspired Ooh the Luna gown that had an open back and lace detail on the back and sleeves. The dress’s drape was timeless, but it also reflected the relaxed vibes of a backyard event.

The makeup and hair created through BS Estilistas and Sophie Makeup was a refreshing approach to a traditional look with delicate makeup and a large ponytail that was adorned with braids and curls. Also, the You and Me Project hairpiece brought the entire style together and made a statement with the relaxed yet refined garden party vibe!
