It’s Friday, hurray! To reward you for making it to the end of the work week, we have a wedding that you can enjoy.
Sara & Cole’s gorgeous winery wedding in Paso Robles.
Sara described the day as “Feminine and Romantic,” and the super-talented David Pascolla Photographic captured all the details.
California weddings can be relaxed and organic while being stylish and glamorous at the same. Sara and Cole’s marriage was the perfect balance.
The strapless Vera Wang tuxedo and her strapless Watters Wtoo gown kept things elegant and formal, while the al fresco dining and Italian feast created a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
The vineyard was awash with beautiful paper goods, rose-gold hues, and luxurious finishing details.
We love Sara’s idea of creating the perfect day. ” Make it as beautiful as possible, but don’t forget what is important.
Wedding Planning Wisdom to Live By!
Our Love Story
Cole met me while I was studying abroad in Buenos Aires.
He liked me because he played footsie with me on the flight back for the Christmas holiday.
Cole and I had been dating for four years when he took me on a stroll through Golden Gate Park after work. Cole proposed to me in front of my family and friends when we were walking through Stowe Lake.
The Inspiration
The wedding should reflect my style, which is feminine and classic. It must also be organic and unfussy.
By incorporating lots of greenery, I wanted to enhance the beauty of both the venue and the vineyards. The palette we chose was white, gold sage, blush, and sage.
The Flowers
I wanted them to look very loose and organic, like a garden. I didn’t really want anything too structured. We used hydrangeas and peonies in large blooms, along with lots of greenery.
Scabiosa Pods added a natural and organic touch to the boutonnieres.
The Ceremony
We wanted to marry someone who knew us, so we asked our uncle to marry us.
This ceremony was deeply personal and reflected both our religious and personal beliefs.
I worried that I would cry during the ceremony, but I surprised myself and my family when I remained cool as a cucumber throughout all of the vows.
The Refreshments
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed prosciutto, melon, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and caprese bites.
I come from a very food-focused family, so it was important for me to have a seated meal at our reception. We served an Italian Panzanella salad, flatiron steak, chicken piccata, and grilled vegetables.
Our wedding cake was made up of alternating layers of pink Champagne and lemon. It was almost too beautiful to eat but delicious!
We serve local craft beer and wines from Calipaso Winery. The prettiest blush-pink Champagne is also available.
Decor & Details
My wedding should reflect my personality. I am not a DIY gal.
Elegant and simple linens and flowers from La Tavola Linens
We used antique furniture, chandeliers, and other outdoor furnishings to create a nice gathering space for our guests. Minted provided all of the paper elements for our ceremony and reception.
Favorite Moments
Cole and I spent a moment together in the vineyards after the ceremony and before we made our grand entrance.
I asked for two chairs and some food and wine from the cocktail time to be set up at the venue. I wanted to spend some time alone with my husband to soak up the experience.
It was worth the effort, and I highly recommend this to other brides.
