An elegant and timeless wedding filled with pretty pastel blooms

This wedding in Connecticut, The Lace Factory, combines British elegance with rustic American charm.

The bride chose a simple, buttery, silk wedding gown with tousled hair and peep-toe Badgley Mischka heels in nude with the perfect amount of sparkle. The groom, in a classic black suit with a jacket draped over his shoulder, was the epitome of sophistication and style.

The bridesmaids looked just as stylish in black chiffon dresses that were expertly mismatched. And the flower girls, in their beribboned baskets filled with pastel flowers, looked adorable in their textured, rosette gowns.

These stunning photographs by Brigham & Co Photography look like they are from a classic movie.

Each frame is more beautiful than the previous one. A perfect match for Amber and Avi’s timeless wedding.

From The Couple

We’re both surprised (but thrilled) that everything went so well. The turnaround was quick as we got engaged in November 2012 and were married on August 2, 2013. We did not rush to make decisions and chose the best vendors for our wedding. With so many guests coming from London, England, we needed the perfect venue. The Lace Factory was the one we found. The theme was to be classical and simple. We were able to create this atmosphere with just a little extra decor.

Favorite Moments

The acoustic guitarist. The steam train went by just before we were married (as if we had timed it !!). The Best Man’s speech was incredible as they used videos and pictures of Groom. The weather was beautiful, and the British and American families were united.

The Photographer

Jessica Brigham of Brigham & Co arranged for us to meet at The Study in New Haven, CT, and set the mood from there. She provided great food, a charming personality, customized gifts, and a stunning Portfolio. Her photos captured beautiful ‘in-the-moment’ shots that complimented our style. Early on, we agreed that choosing a photographer and videographer was a very important decision. We met with many photographers. Jessica was the perfect choice for our wedding. We felt an instant connection and couldn’t be happier that she was part of it.

Decor & Details

We used wine bottles as table numbers and a row of white candles in Mason jars. On the long tables (32 per table), we also had flowers in pots. The venue was lit with simple white lights.

Refreshments

Cloud Nine prepared and served the Wedding Cake. We had passed hors-d’oeuvres and a fixed table during cocktail hour. The food was delicious. Mini cupcakes for guests accompanied the cake.

The Music

The bride walked out at the ceremony to an Acoustic guitarist playing ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by the Beatles. Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’ was the first song to be played. Mother and Groom performed to ‘Days Like This,’ while Bride and Father performed to ‘Isn’t She Lovely.’ The wedding party entered Muse’s ‘Starlight.

The Videography

Our videographers are located in NYC, and we knew they would be perfect for us. We received a great trailer, and we love the extended video. We don’t understand how everything came together so beautifully, and we love seeing ourselves on our best day ever. Jessica and NST Pictures have allowed us to live those moments forever!
