Last week, I wrote about a destination wedding in southern France.
Ruby Yeo is the talented photographer who took the photos.
Ruby and Artur are now in front of the camera, thanks to Christine Lim.
She’s a bit nervous, which is difficult to understand because she looks so beautiful.
This cute and quirky engagement photo shoot ticks all my boxes.

Photographer’s Notes
Ruby and Artur first met while working on a film set in West Malaysia’s jungles. Ruby says that it’s like Tarzan & Jane. Ruby is Tarzan, and Jane is the Malaysian girl. Ruby is a wedding photographer at www.rubyyeo.com, and Artur is a filmmaker. Now, they live in Warsaw, Poland.
The shoot was held in Wery, a small town in Poland. It took place at the lakehouse of a friend, where they spent many days in the summer taking long walks through the forest, picking berries, and drinking hot chocolate beside the lake.
Ruby and Artur chose to wear three different outfits. The first was casual, and we took some fun pictures of them in the field.
Ruby’s second outfit was a traditional Chinese Cheongsam that she wore to her Chinese Tea Ceremony in Malaysia. Artur, on the other hand, wore formal clothing.
On one of their morning walks, they came across some beautiful trees and decided that it would make a lovely setting for them. Ruby and Artur were perfect in their respective outfits, complementing the different cultures of Malaysian Chinese and Polish in a location similar to where they first met.
We wanted their photos to have a romantic feel, so we chose a formal outfit. Ruby chose a vintage lace gown, but because she’s a fun and quirky person, she kept her shoes on.
