Bespectacled brides: How to rock glasses on your wedding day

The grooms will make passes to the brides with glasses.

That’s the way we say it!

We want to correct the severe shortage of brides wearing specs!

Many brides choose contacts for their wedding because they feel less beautiful wearing glasses, don’t like to cover up their makeup, or aren’t sure how to accessorize around their eyewear.

We also see many grooms in their glasses looking very dapper (we have a soft corner for Clark Kent!)

The most important aspect of your bridal style should be that it makes you feel comfortable. You should also look and feel like an (over-glammed) version of yourself.

We agree with our opinion on Brides with Bangs. If gorgeous glasses are a part of your everyday look, don’t give them up on your wedding just because it isn’t the norm.

Retro Does It

Retro is a great way to match your eyewear with your wedding gown.

Combine a cute beehive with winged specs and a vintage-style wedding gown for a chic, stylized, and absolutely gorgeous look.

White Wedding

You can make yourself feel more special by getting new glasses for your wedding.

Choose frames that are fun and that match your wedding. They can be white and retro or modern and sleek. You could also choose clear boundaries to allow your outfit to shine.

Lippies in abundance

If you want to look hot and vampy on your wedding day, bold lipstick with stylish frames is the perfect combination.

Make a bold statement with a ruby color that will complement your frames and skin tone.

The tangled tresses

You don’t want to see your groom walking down the aisle with his old teacher wearing glasses and a stiff bun.

Keep your hair soft and undone to contrast your specs.

Add Some Sparkle

Some brides who wear glasses may feel that their glasses add a dull look to their outfit.

You can brighten up your face with a variety of hair accessories that include pearls and glitter.

How to Brow

Some women (including myself, at times) wear specs. Many women who wear glasses (including myself) think they can ignore their brows while wearing them.

If you want to maintain your shape at home, invest in a pair of tweezers. If you feel they need more work, a quick salon tidy-up can be done a week prior to your wedding.

Talk to your makeup artist about powders and gels for the perfect look on the big day.

Blushing Bride

The best friend of a bride who wears glasses is contouring.

You’ve probably read how the Kardashians are the best at sculpting their cheekbones and jawlines. While we don’t recommend you go overboard with makeup like Kim & Co., using blushers, bronzers, and highlighters to your advantage can help slim your face, as well as enhance the shape of glasses.

You can learn how to shape your face using Megan Fox’s makeup in our Megan Fox Makeup Tutorial.

Bright Eyes

Concealer could be your sister if contouring is the best friend you have! It would be best if you used a lot of concealer under your eyes because frames can cast shadows on your face.

Choose a color that is a shade lighter or two shades lighter than the foundation you use. It should also contain light-reflecting particles.

Au Natural

When it comes to choosing colors for eye makeup, we recommend keeping it natural.

Choose Earrings

There is much debate about whether glasses and earrings go together or if it all looks too much. They look good, but only if you wear them with passion!

Add lots of sparkle if your dress has a strapless design or interesting shoulder details. Pearlstime, pearls, and studs look great elegantly styledantly-styled glasses.

Accessorize Elsewhere

If your glasses seem a bit heavy, you can balance them with another statement piece.

You can make your guests’ eyes pop with two standout accessories.

What a cute idea! This is a beautiful style, perfect for your wedding!
