Colorful Retro Elopement Inspiration

A feathered mini-dress, hot bridal jumpsuit, bright flowers, and retro-inspired style? Yes, please, we are in awe of this fun elopement look captured by Hope Helmuth.

In the chic Philadelphia Restaurant Louie Louie In the swanky restaurant Louie Louie, we meet our dream bride from the past dressed in a stylish BHLDN mini dress that’s been adorned with feathers (which you can purchase at this link!) with a stunning ballerina hairstyle along with lashes that are dramatic and a punch-bowl bouquet, her look is the mid-century style.

The flowers and design also highlight this beautiful area’s retro style. The vibrant and modern arrangement is brought back to the modern era thanks to a bold dark ribbon (bringing your attention to the antique tiles on the flooring). Stationery and signage give more hints of nostalgia due to the bold typeface and stark contrast of black.

Marble, palm trees, and fabulous fur! We planned the elopement in a hip, modern French restaurant in Philadelphia, PA. When I imagined this photoshoot, I wanted the tale full of warm, vibrant hues. The photo shoot coincided with the same day Pantone declared coral the season’s color.

Becky, who works at Ram Florals, made our psychedelic floral desires a reality! The floral arrangements were bold and vibrant, hinting at a festive pink poinsettia. We got many of our ideas from the elegant decor of Louie Louie.

I wanted our wedding to sport a Brigitte Bardot French Riviera vibe. Kelly Hursh designed a romantic hairstyle that evokes an early Jane Birkin style. The beauty inspiration was completed with a romantic, vintage lavender eye created by the duo of Shimmer and Spice.
