Our Love Story

A friend of ours introduced us while we both lived in Minneapolis during the summer of the year 2016. Sam, my friend from childhood Sam was introduced to Michael and managed to convince Michael to postpone plans with his friends to attend an event so that he could meet us.

I’d never had the opportunity to set things up before, and it was a bit nerve-wracking However, Michael’s gentle and funny personality, as well as his calm, soothing presence immediately made me feel at peace! We both realized quickly that our bond was unique from other relationships we’d have in the past.

Now, fast forward to September of 2018 and Michael proposed to his wife on the shores of Grand Lake, Colorado, with breathtaking views of fall foliage on the mountains that surrounded the lake.

The Photography & Videography

We wanted our photographs and video to be traditional, and we intend to be awed by them regardless of what trends are in fashion and we instantly fell in love with the Decorus Photographers’s elegant classic style. In fact, I’d already been following her beautiful Instagram account to get ideas before our planners even suggested our suppliers! The moment we met the photographer Kristina Adams personally made us feel more confident about our choice Her friendly, warm persona made us feel at ease when in front of the camera.

We knew that we were looking for Shutter & Sound to capture footage of our day after one of their highlights videos made Michael and me cry and we knew they’d be able to capture the beauty and emotions of our day beautifully!

The Wedding Style

It was an absolute dream that came real! I wanted a contemporary, romantic feel with a soft hue palette that incorporated shades of blush, ivory as well as gold with hints in midnight blue. We wanted to create an unforgettable day with the people we cherish the most! Also, we wanted to include aspects of our Jewish tradition in the celebration that were more social than religious, such as signing a ketubah in the lead-up to the ceremony breaking glasses after saying “I do” as well as dancing to the horah.

The Planning

We rely heavily on the suggestions of our fantastic wedding coordinators to choose the rest of our vendors. This made the planning process easy. One of Michael’s requests during our ceremony was live music at the reception. This was definitely an excellent choices we’ve made! They were FANTASTIC as was the dancing floor jammed throughout the night long.

Hire a planner! Seriously. It’s totally worth it. The entire planning process was easy and stress-free. we were able to relax and relax on our special day thanks to our incredible planners! Choose the choices that will bring you and your spouse the most happy. Don’t fret about what others think.

The Honeymoon

We took a deferred honeymoon in Maui as well as Lanai, Hawaii about 10 weeks after the wedding. Finding something new to look forward to once the big day was a fantastic method to avoid a post wedding depression and prolong the wedding!
