Tabby did her magic and gave us detailed tutorials on how to apply her favorite products.
The first tutorial in the series was inspired by this lovely look Megan Fox donned a few decades ago, which was created originally by celebrity makeup artist Troy Jensen.
How to Get the Look
Apply a medium coverage foundation with a satin finish to the face after cleansing, moisturizing, and prepping your skin*. Apply a concealer with medium coverage over the foundation to cover redness and under the eyes. Set everything with a translucent powder. You will need to contour in order to achieve Megan’s cheekbones. Nars Laguna Bronzer (1 is ideal for this). Use a powder brush that is a bit smaller and will fit closer to the cheekbone. Mac’s brush 168 is great for defining the cheekbone. This brush will give you a slimming effect by sculpting the bone beneath your cheek. It also brings out the natural highlights of the cheek.

This gives the illusion of a wider eye. The days of using white, which can be very harsh, are over! Use Benefit’s eye bright (3) to brighten your skin without looking harsh!
Megan’s gorgeous doe eyes are a key feature of this look. If you want to achieve a defined, sophisticated look, you will need gel or liquid eyeliner. Bobbie’s Longwear Gel Liner is my favorite shade. It won’t crease, and it will stay in place for your special day. To create a smooth application, you’ll need an angle brush. I also recommend breaking down the liner. Try doing the half of the lashline first, from the outer corner to the middle. Change the meeting so that the tip is facing the nose, and then draw from the inner to the middle eye. Try brown instead of black liner for a more softer look.
Don’t forget to brush your eyebrows after applying your favorite waterproof mascara! You might not do this every day, but wedding photos are a special occasion, and you will need to add some definition. Megan has dark hair, so I recommend Mac Spiked Brow pencil for this effect. To blend the product in, you’ll need a firm-angled Mac 208 brush. I’ve got a variety of brow pencils in my kit, but I’m partial to Illamasqua’s Brow Powders and Mac’s Wax Brow Pencils. You will need to apply a little pressure, whether you use brow powders, waxes, or pencils, to achieve the desired shape. Apply with short, wispy strokes. Megan’s eyebrows were probably threaded and waxed prior to the event. It would be best if you did not try to recreate the perfect brow shape until you have visited a salon. This look will not work if your hair is unruly.
I’d recommend a Mac Subculture Lip Pencil (6), and rather than just drawing around the lips, actually fill in the lips with this pencil. This creates a good base/primer for your lipstick to stay on. Mac Subculture Lip Pencil 6 is a great product. Fill in the lips with the pencil rather than drawing around them. This will help your lipstick stay on.
Use Nars Belle Du Joure Lipstick(7) over the lip pencil. This is a beautiful browny-pink nude with a subtle sheen. Megan’s lip finish is not matte, so I recommend a primer under the product, as glossy lips don’t last long. Mac Prep & Prime Lip is a great way to make sure your lipstick will last!
When you have the opportunity, clean and prep your face before applying your base and blushers/bronzers; when you use your foundation, you lean your head forward. If you then do your eye makeup after the skin, you may get some shadow fallout. Do your eyes first to save yourself time and effort!
