Romantic Old-World Charm Meets A Modern Blue Wedding Dress

You wouldn’t believe that this ancient monastery is hidden within the hustle and bustle of contemporary Miami, Florida. It is adorned with Spanish architecture and oozing glamour; the beautiful venue is the ideal setting for this fun and modern wedding with a watercolor-filled theme captured by Cana Rose.

It doesn’t matter if the vibrant dress takes its inspiration from the watercolor stationery or whether the invitations were designed to match the dress. Both details sparkle in this stunning natural space. With its flowing tulle skirt, the dress is full of fun – somewhat dark, the skirt is lively, while the top is elegant and romantic. You could imagine any bride seeking the color but also something “bridal” falling for this stunning wedding dress.

Invitations also have fun designs. The watercolor illustrations are hand-painted with script and flowers. It’s the small differences that make these papers delightful and a must-have for all time. A few other details sparkle all through the shooting, including the bride’s gorgeous earrings and a pear-shaped engagement ring that we would all want to be able to answer “yes!” to.

When I stepped foot into the space, I was transported. The stone from that Ancient Spanish Monastery was quite a surprise to see in the midst of sunny Florida. I felt as if I had been transported to Europe.

Alina’s dusty blue wedding dress was a real show-stopper and stood out stunningly against the wrought iron and stone parts that make up the Spanish Monastery. Eddie was loving and tender to his beautiful wife throughout the entire day. They truly are a couple that was made in heaven.

There are special treasures to be discovered in every photo, and they are far more amazing than what I’ve seen at weddings. I could have taken pictures of the gold pear-shaped engagement ring for hours, and the invitation suite with watercolor was a beautiful and romantic touch to the celebration.

The cake was a stunning white three-tier cake designed by Sweet Miss V’s. In the true wedding-day fashion, the circumstances were out of our control, and the design that was cascading across the sides of the cake was melted. With quick thinking, we flipped the melted cake towards the wall and showed the white, still stunning side. Silk, as well as Floral elements, were added to the cake, and it looked stunning! If you didn’t know our secret, you’d believe that the cake was made in such a way. The finished product was gorgeous!

The bride’s dress is a stunning Blanc De Blanc gown by Chantel Lauren. The shift is exquisite and jaw-dropping all the way. It has a lovely blue navy, delicate blue hand-painted watercolor overlay to the gown’s bottom with an overlay of silk organza. The soft top of the dress is lace and complements the smoky blue hues.

The groom’s outfit is an equally stunning gray checked outfit by All Brides 2 Be, and his bow tie is gorgeous!
