Sleek & Sexy Fashion-Forward Wedding Inspiration In Emerald

Sexy, chic, and chic, this editorial shot by Marcella Cistola has all the hallmarks of my wedding dream. Modern sensibility and art-deco elements: The team has a keen eye for crossing the line between old-fashioned glamour and modern brides.

Gorgeous bridal hairstyles and makeup are now fashionable for the modern day with the help of modern elegant gowns from the highly fashionable creators Sophie et Voila. It’s not a hot take that simple and sleek dresses are sweeping the world of weddings in the present (i.e., the likes of Ms. Markle & hey, there’s even my own La Robe wedding dress). Sophie et Voila are most definitely leading the way in offering modern brides’ silhouettes and accessories that aren’t traditional.

The delicate lines created by crepe silk are enhanced by calla lily bouquets made of free-held ‘lilies and unique art deco-inspired cookies. The 1920’s 1920s-inspired stationery is decorated with an appropriate emerald. It shimmers against the monochrome backdrop.

There’s also the ideally suited geometric cake, a work of art composed of white fondant with marble-like details and an Emerald ribbon-like silk.

From Marcella Cistola

The shoot was in awe of Tamara De Lempicka as an irresistible model of style. However, she is also an authentically modern representation of a strong and confident woman. We’ve adapted her painting style, characterized by rigid shapes and a palette, where she paired neutral colors with savage red and intense green.

Two brides nestled in a lesser-known but genuine Rome as it is formal elegance, reflected in the geometric shapes of its architecture, the lights and shadows, the elements and materials that reflect the style from Tamara and her time.

These dresses by Sophie et Voila, the Spanish company Sophie et Voila, are influenced by architecture and paired with an ultra-modern look with a retro feel where straight lines and curves combine, resulting in an avant-garde collection of women. Each dress is an original handmade creation that blends exclusive designs with natural materials. They are generously supplied through a unique Merryme Bridal Boutique in Rome’s center.

The Hair & Makeup

The brides’ two bridal parties have traditional hair and makeup. The light skin makes a statement by the bright red of the lips. The red fades as it is natural when it’s inside the room. The curls of the hairstyles are more modern for outdoor ceremonies and then become more sophisticated when you wear the collection version to be worn for the reception.

The Cake & Desserts

The magnificent cake of cake creator Annika Toni is the main attraction of the table’s sweets, thanks to its striking geometric form. The cake is decorated with explicit reference to Tamara’s work, and glazed macarons and biscuits evoke the lightness of the fabrics and the designs of fashion.

The Florals & Stationery

The floral designer and graphic designer of Arianna Fabbretti offers a stylish design composed of clean and simple forms.

Plant elements that are rigid, like the sterlitzia leaves and the calla flower that is featured in the works of Tamara de Lempicka, contrast with other factors that are soft and malleable elements, like lotus leaves or bell grass, as well as scabiosa. The calls are placed in a glass with light geometric forms and produce flowing dynamic lines. This is evident in the juxtaposition of shapes in two bouquets: one composed of calla lilies and the leaves of sterlitzia, shaped like an artistic spear, and the second is composed of a single lotus leaf or one that contains tiny calla lilies and scabiosa.
